The Death Star is the Empire's ultimate weapon of destruction, which is meant for devastation only. This is most effectible and the most important event in the Star Wars timeline that brings together all the ordinary people, who choose to do extraordinary things.

The ordinary people in doing the extra-ordinary things become a part of something, which is greater than them.

Well, in terms of work front, the actors have done the marvelous job and the storyline is just outstanding. If you are a real fan of Star Wars, then you probably will not leave this movie and will surely go for it. The way the movie has been drawn and the way the helmer, so, the movie has helmed it is just so good that it is firmly able to bind the audience. In our smart world, when it comes to entertainment majority of the people go for watching movies but which movie to choose is a little bit a weird task because you don’t even know what type of story you are going to see and I am here to mitigate your problems by providing you with the unfiltered review of a movie named hacksaw ridge

Lets start with some basic information-

Firstly I want to tell you that Hacksaw Ridge is a nickname of a cliff face Maeda escarpment of Okinawa. This film is directed by Mel Gibson( famous for movie like passion of Christ) and written by Andrew knight and Robert schenkkan . Starring Andrew Garfield as a lead role( Desmond doss), Luke Bracey, Teresa Palmer, Hugo Weaving, Rachel Griffiths and Vince Vaughn.

Plot

This movie is biography war in which the character is of army family background. In this movie his father had served in army as a soldier and his brother has also joined army and like that he is also being forced against his will and his father’s will because he never wanted to loose his children as he lost his best friend in war. Desmond doss never wanted to kill any person but wanted save people and because of this he opposed lifting the rifle and stopped his training. Gradually he became and outcast in his group as everyone was serving as a soldier whereas he opted to become conscientious objector. While he was in his training he was beaten up by his peers but he never disclosed it and continued his training and became an medic. Doss and the unit were assigned to the 77th Infantry Division and are sent to the Pacific theater to participate in the Battle of Okinawa and this is the main phase where he saves 75 soldiers in a counter attack by Japanese army without lifting a weapon.

This movie is based on the true story of Desmond Doss who was the first and only person in world war 2 to be awarded with Medal of honor. This story depicts the suffering of doss as being an odd in al the evens and to be come out as life saver in the suffering of the American army. From staring till the end this movie will not gonna disappoint any viewer and will spread good vibes for people who are determined with their choices they make.

Review Mr.-Church

For starters, get introduced to an all new Eddie Murphy. His trademark mirth goes missing as you meet the man who cooks, devours literature, paints, dances, and plays jazz music. And the victory of the film lies in the fact that though so many of his facets are revealed, he still continues to remain n enigma.

He begins his journey with the Brody family quietly taking charge of their kitchen with his culinary skills. Though young Charlie resents him initially, he eventually wins her over with his mouth watering preparations. Not to forget, he also gives her reading tips that she later grows to value. Keeping Marie cancer a secret from the young girl, who doesn’t know that her mother is about to die, church who has had a troubled childhood quietly assumes the role of a caring elder in the household.   

 The story told by Beresford unfolds in a fairly tale style. It is shot lovingly, so the film exudes an old world charm. Writer Susan McMartin keeps the viewer thoroughly engaged with two simultaneous tracks.

Murphy is subtle and brilliant as the subservient black man whose only aim is to give happiness to the mother – daughter duo, who he has been gifted to. Britt Robertson also renders a heart- warming performance. Ditto Natasha McElhone.As the terminally-ill, beauteous Marie, her act gives you those lump in the throat moments. If you are in the mood for some soppy, sentimental stuff, give this film a try.  

REVIEW OF JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK

 

Critics Consensus: Monotonously formulaic, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back is one action thriller sequel whose title also assists as a warning.

Directed by Edward Zwick and written by Lee Child (based on the book "Never Go Back" by), Richard Wenk (screenplay) , the movies casts  Tom Cruise, Cobie Smulders, Aldis Hodge as lead roles.

Jack Reacher must unearth the truth behind a major government conspiracy in order to clear his name. On the run as a fugitive from the law, Reacher uncovers a potential secret from his past that could change his life persistently.

Jack Reacher (Tom Cruise) isn’t a talky person. He’s a loner with no middle name and no permanent address. He lives in fleabag motels, gets around by hitchhiking, and tends to converse with his fists, though only after repeated warnings have failed. He is not, to put it slightly, father or husband material.

Never Go Back isn’t the most favorable subtitle for a sequel, but Tom Cruise revenues with reasonable honor as Lee Child’s taciturn ex-army drifter-cum-Übermensch-without-portfolio. Jack Reacher, directed by Christopher McQuarrie four years ago, was splendidly to the point, and this follow-up by dependable veteran Edward Zwick (Legends of the Fall, The Last Samurai) is equally fat-free. Admittedly, it’s also a touch flavor-free, but it smears itself to telling its story single-mindedly, with a minimum of digression and frills. Here, Reacher teams up with a courageous teen (Danika Yarosh) and a US army major (Cobie Smulders, from Agents of SHIELD et al) who’s been targeted by a nefarious Halliburton-esque corporation. They all run a lot, but you can tell that this franchise has been set up as a way for Cruise to get somewhat less strenuous exercise than in Mission: Impossible. Possibly to minimize distraction, the supporting cast is on the bland side, but it’s nice to get a glimpse of Robert Knepper, the inimitable abject T-Bag in TV’s Prison Break.

Movie review of Doctor Strange

Doctor strange artfully balances its source material against the blockbuster constraints of the MCU delivering a thorough superhero origin of the story in the bargain. The average rating is 7.3/10 total reviews counted 221 under which 199 is fresh and 22 is still under dilemma, the story is about a disgraced former surgeon named Stephen strange (Benedict Cumber batch) becomes a powerful sorcerer under the tutelage of a mystic known as ancient one (Tilda Swinton) .Rachel McAdams mads Mikkelsen and Chiwetel Ejiofor co-star in this entry in the marvel cinematic universe. Directed by Scott Derrickson

It is an action and adventure, science fiction and fantasy based movie which will always retain your attention for 130 minutes. Doctor strange might be the future of marvel the most notable thing about doctor strange isn't its dizzying visual effects or its kaleidoscopic action sequences; it is how much time goes by before the movie reminds you that it is set in the marvel cinematic universe.

Around halfway through its two-hour run time a librarian tells surgeon turned sorcerer in training Stephen strange that strange fellow students aren't just budding masters of arcane but a cosmic complement to the avengers in defending the earth malevolent outsiders rather than feeding into the ever-expanding ever more complicated narrative web of MCU , strange wins big by staying small 

REVIEW FOR OUIJA: ORIGIN OF EVIL

The unusual horror sequel made with considerably more wit, craft, and imagination than its predecessor, “Ouija: Origin of Evil” feels less like the continuation of a budding franchise than an apology for what went wrong the primary time. Writer-director Mike Flanagan  takes over the artistic reins from Helmer Stiles White and institutes a welcome theatrical shift from the role terrorized teens plot of 2014’s “Ouija.” And yet as much as Flanagan does to set his film apart, the follow-up is eventually bogged down by the backstory baggage it’s forced to deliver.

Michael Fimognari’s graceful deep-focus camerawork blends a nostalgic feel with contemporary technology and builds tension with disturbing bits of business unfolding in the background or extreme foreground of scenes. Flanagan’s own cutting delivers recurrent jolts through jump scares, and unlike the monotonous fake-outs of “Ouija,” there’s usually something on screen to justify the tactic here. 

Flanagan works his soundtrack over, but with co-writer Jeff Howard he sets so much bizarre narrative running – mom’s disenchanted relationship with a priest, unsettled paternity issues, and Doris’s overnight grasp of Polish – that he doesn’t have to rely on loud noises to capture the attention.

Arguably he’s caught trying too tough. The final movement doesn’t tie matters up so much as spiral outwards into schlocky incoherence. Still, the procedure is upended somewhat: this time, the Ouija board itself is a trivial player, less a piece of obligatory product placement than a springboard for ideas, be it wayward or workable. It’s still no scarier than any branded content, and perhaps only the most lukewarm slumber party would truly need it. Yet if it is questioned that whether Origin of Evil offers a better quality of time-wasting than its predecessor, the answer would be YES.

THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN REVIEW

Erin Cressida Wilson‘s script remains structurally similar to Hawkins’ novel, but some of the characters are not included in this two-hour movie. There is more to Tom and Rachel’s relationship in the novel that makes their relationship more believable, making the violence and deceit in the story more visceral and nasty, less fancy than it can be here.

The Girl on the Train is the story of Rachel Watson's life post-divorce. Every day, she takes the train into work in New York, and each day it passed by her old house. The house she lived in with her husband, who still lives there, with his new wife and kid. As she attempts to not focus on her pain, she starts observing a couple who live a few houses down -- Megan and Scott Hipwell. She creates a wonderful dream life for them in her head, about how they are a perfectly happy family. And then one day, as the train passes, she sees something dreadful, filling her with rage. The next day, she wakes up with a horrible hangover, various wounds and bruises, and no memory of the night before. She has only a feeling: something terrible happened. Then come the TV reports: Megan Hipwell is missing. Rachel becomes invested in the case and trying to find out what happened to Megan, where she is, and what exactly she herself was up to that same night Megan went missing.

Critics Consensus: Emily Blunt's outstanding performance isn't enough to keep The Girl on the Train from sliding sluggishly into exploitative melodrama.

It almost feels like a lot of The Girl on the Train's potential was left on the cutting room floor, taken out for simplicity. But characters like these deserve complex treatment. And audiences need more than just the (expected) twist in the end if you want to leave them puzzling over a movie after the credits roll. What we get instead is an interesting enough, creepy enough experience, but with a healthy hash of "seen this before."

SULLY : MOVIE REVIEW

Critic’s consensus: As comfortingly workmanlike as its protagonist, Sully makes solid use of typically superlative work from its star and director to deliver a quietly stirring tribute to an everyday hero.

Directed by Clint Eastwood, the movie has cast Tom Hanks, Aaron Eckhart and Laura Linney as the main cast with the script written by Todd Komarnicki (screenplay), Chesley Sullenberger (based on the book "Highest Duty" by) (as Chesley 'Sully' Sullenberger).

Sully is the story of Chesley Sullenberger, an American pilot who became a hero after landing his damaged plane on the Hudson River in order to save the flight's passengers and crew.

On Thursday, January 15th, 2009, the world witnessed the "Miracle on the Hudson" when Captain Chesley Sullenberger, nicknamed "Sully" & is portrayed by Tom Hanks landed his disabled plane onto the frigid waters of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 aboard. However, even as Sully was being praised by the public and the media for his extraordinary skill, an investigation was unfolding that threatened to destroy his reputation and his career. 

The film explores the meaning of heroism in the modern world – or at least, it tries to. And what it finds is that not much has changed in the many centuries since tales of bravery and selflessness have been told. Some heroes work behind desks. Others land airliners on rivers.

Like most things, melodrama works fine if. But it’s also the one thing that keeps Sully from soaring. Eastwood, over the last 15 years or so, has developed an unmistakable style that can only be described as… workmanlike – no fancy, no nonsense. But even he can’t elevate ordinary writing, which is what happens here.

Tom Hanks is, and always has been, the real American hero in the movies. He can nail roles like this in his sleep. No one could have played it better than Tom hanks as Sully like this – confident yet never cocky, humble but never cloying. There are often scenes in which the film is threatened with dual engine failure, but Hanks is the captain who lands it safely.

But the biggest star of the film – is the IMAX. Sully is first film to be shot almost entirely with IMAX cameras, and they’re so overwhelmed of this that they’re using it as a tagline on the poster (no kidding, go check).

 The final few minutes of Sully are exhilarating. It’s what the film has been surging towards. Watching it unfold on that huge screen was incredible. The sounds, the images, the atmosphere envelopes you.

And then, another curious thing happened. There was applause – not hooting or whistling – but real applause - genuine, respectful, appreciative and very uncommon.

Imagine a kids’ movie that is probably made for kids but not quite meant for them. This is what Storks is for you. Writer Nicholas Stoller who also co-directed the movie brings you an animated kids’ movie that extends one of the oldest kid-parent joke “Where do the babies come from? Storks” The movie has the emotions and love of family with the sense of individual strength well embedded in its central theme, which fulfills the basic kids’ movie requisites. But you watch it the storyline seems a teaching more to parents than to the little ones.

Talking about the story, Storks is about delivering babies, like picking them up from the factory and bringing to your doorstep (Yeah you got it!). The task was once done by Drones but since they are now busy delivering more important things like, you know, smart phones and stuff the tasks goes back to old reliable Storks. Thus we see how the best one among these storks fixes a little mistake in the whole baby delivery process

On the surface Storks seems like any other kid movie, like for the fact, it is animated. But it has essentially its audience in adults and more specifically the parents. Both the directors Nicholas Stoller and Doug Sweetland have done a marvelous job. But if you’re expecting a Frozen kind of animated flick to enjoy with the kids, this might not be the best choice for you and your kids. Movie Review: Bridget Jones's Baby

Bridget Jones’s magic lies in giving us a portrayal of ourselves on screen, struggling with weight, self-worth, and love. Does it actually work when Bridget has 2 similar good men fighting over her, possesses a good job, an array of decent friends, and is ultimately pregnant?

The good news is that the film is absolutely there when it is to have the best laughs out of awful romantic situations and that Zellweger returned in the scene unaffected by the new controversy on her, embracing it, given the name geriatric mothers.

Charming as Dempsey is, in spite of being a mathematician who has made his economy by calculating the quantum equations for love, it is not clear what actually attracts him to Bridget. The film does no effort to pose a relationship that is, after all, meant to establish a competition to Mark, the boundless Mr Darcy of Pride and Prejudice.

Helen Fielding, the writer of the books on which the films are based and Maguire; the director has co-written the script.

Once the film is in the latter months of pregnancy, and Bridget continues to remain confused among Mark and Jack, who really fathered her child, the film leaves the fun zone, takes you to the world of disbelief. And that is too in spite of Thompson having the hands-down no-nonsense and hilarious gynecologist guiding the 3 of them along.

Active Consulting reviews: Bridget does not experience an easy time bearing that child. Still, for the rest of us, it is really a labor of love.

Sully : Movie Review

Starring: Tom Hanks and Aaron Eckhart in the major roles

Through the eyes of Active Consultants, Sully deserves a 4 star for a real life story and not-boring repetitions. Chelsey ‘Sully’ Sullenberger is a pilot, and a thumping good one at that. A nice and average family man of strong beliefs he becomes an accidental hero in January 2009 by landing a plane on the frozen Hudson during an emergency. Based on real life story of Sully, the movie divulges the story behind ‘Miracle on the Hudson’ of a US Airways pilot who landed a plane with both its engines dead on the frozen river without a single casualty, an unbelievable feat which stunned the world and filled people with awe.

This ninety-minute story derived out of the 208 seconds of heroism isn't about the glory, but about the trials,Sullenberger faces after saving lives.
The movie begins with Sully at the peak of his PTSD suffering from violent flashbacks projecting what could have happened if he hadn't chosen to land on the river. He is suffering from doubts too as the aviation board inquiry tries to determine whether or not he did the right thing.
Sully and his First Officer, Skiles (Aaron Eckhart), are ruthlessly interrogated while they become overnight heroes. While trying to convince the board, a new discovery is made: the investigators are told by engineers that one of the dead plane's engines may not have failed, unlike what the pilots had claimed, with Sully saying, “Engineers are not pilots. He digs a deeper hole by saying that he didn’t go exactly by the rulebook, but rooted on his 42 years of experience and just “eyeballed” it.
The movie is predictable but fresh. Inspired by non-fictions (biography) the story ends well.

Movie Review: The Light between Oceans

This romantic period drama film written and directed by Derek Cianfrance is based on the 2012 novel by M. L. Stedman. It got mixed reviews. The film unfolds the story of a lighthouse keeper and his better-half who rescued and adopted an infant girl afloat at sea. Later, the couple finds the child's original parentage and are indulged in the moral dilemma of their actions.

The Active Consulting reviews that the film; a stately dressed, slightly removed in time, and rooted in a quieter ecstasy. Here the bond of love leads to something implacable in its darkness. At this point, it may seem an exaggeration to compare Cianfrance to, say, Ingmar Bergman, although he has not achieved any status like that, but it is no overstatement to say that the two are matching spirits. The Light between Oceans has a great deal of amazing seacoast symbolism, once you remove the calendar art; it is completely a Bergman type soap opera.

The Light between Oceans grows into a parental sort of love triangle. There are Tom and Isabel, and there is the other Hannah; the other woman, who is the infant girl’s biological mother. It is a harrowing situation, and the clout of the drama is that Cianfrance, as a filmmaker, is right at par with anguish. The Light between Oceans closes by taking one too many self-serious turns and twists. The film acquires its darkness, but it may have been even much more affecting if it did not fade from the light.

‘Skiptrace’

Jackie Chan's latest action-comedy movie "Skiptrace" with Johnny Knoxville releases in the US today, while it was released in China for DirecTV on July 28th. In this active consulting review we direct the movie for you.

All the action-comedy enthusiasts are looking forward to this movie. But I may burst the bubble. The movie sadly took 2.5 stars from my red pen.

  An air of fatigue surrounds the 62-year-old Chan in the same old plot of "revenging my dead  old partner killed in action" while Johnny Knoxville has to supply the perpetual energy while portraying the unwitting gambler.

  Nine years later, after the colleague dies while asking  Benni (Chan) to take care of his daughter, he is still trying to get Matador behind the bars, all the while  believing him  to be Victor Wong (Winston Chao). Then he and his two colleagues (Shi Shi, Kuo-Pin Chao) bang through an unsuccessful uncovering  raid.

 Samantha (Bingbing Fan) is the dead colleague's daughter who works at a  Macau gambling  den in trying to find some activity that may prove Wong to be her father’s killer. Stupidly enough, she gets involves in a chaos that leads to Yank Connor Watts (Knoxville) witnessing a murder, who then flees to Russian, of course, with the money from the gaming hell. Samantha is then kidnapped and Connor is off to Siberia with Bennie on his trial.

A definite one time watch, “Skiptrace” is a travelogue with comedy as Chan drags Knoxville through Russia, the Gobi Desert both traveling by anything that works. Random incidents happen in the many festivals and events as the tour goes  south to China. Undeniably, there is some action and an eccentric playlist, Skiptrace” is silly lively, funny, and cheerfully dumb  all the while taking the viewer on a trip to central Asia.

Bad Moms (2016) : Movie Review

Bad Santa. Bad teachers. Now bad moms. The title is little unexpected, for the moms are the really good ones overwhelmed into thinking that they are letting others down. This is a story about juvenile men and bitchy ladies and their bullying and bad behavior, and how our three musketeer moms turn outrageously immature to spell justice for these people.
The story begins withAmy Mitchell (Mila Kunis), trying to be a perfect mom who packs breakfast for her kids every morning and is late at their PTA while trying to settle with her overworked self into the sheer monotone. And then crash! She gets to know that her husband has been e-cheating on her, and she kicks him to the curb. He is a whiny baby, mind you.
Now tired of being perfect, Amy chucks the idea out the window and becomes a "bad mom". And appalled by her behavior is the catty ice princess Gwendolyn (Christina Applegate) who is the president of the PTA.
She finds the other musketeers in two rattled mothers Kiki (Kristen Bell) and Carla (Kathryn Hahn) and they bond over booze.
Kiki is an overworked housewife with a tyrant for a husband who dictates her around while Carla is a single mother with promiscuous ways which led her baseball player kid to remain friendless.
The story is raunchy fun, with the storyline a little too predictable.
Some scenes do feel forced but others can only be described as ROFL scenes. Mila Kunis is amazing and smoothly shows what the moms actually do feel like.

Comedy layered with asincere message, it breaks all the conventional rules but shines out like the must watch it is, especially for moms.

Books and movies have been joined together ever since the earliest days of film, and adaptations of novels and novellas have constantly provided viewers with the classier end of the film spectrum.

Paul Newmans Luke; a cocksure war hero comes to embody the sense
of hope his fellow captives desperately need to exist. Through a course
of failed escape attempts, an array of legendary one-liners emerged in
this bitter, captivating and often amusing spot of drama.

Book Review: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

A best-seller is said to be capable of selling 328 copies in a day and once again this 8 th edition in Potter series proved to be that. On 31 st July 2016 the book was released and by 2 nd August, it sold 2 million copies. Though it is a storming success amongst fans but of course, a number of them are woefully disappointed.

The difference is that the book isn’t a novel unlike the previous seven books by J.K. Rowling. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a script of a stage play, written by Jack Thorne based on a tale arranged in association with J.K. Rowling and Director John Tiffany.

Unlike a novel a script is a bunch of instructions meant to be for a theatrical grandeur, not the experience itself. Therefore the play came out to be a triumph of events, portrayed with types of special effects on stage. But if you are not a professional playgoer or are not acquainted with the background from before, you won’t vision the magnificence of the magic spells just by reading.

Play scripts never account for any pause or recaps; it dives into action from the very 1 st scene. Therefore the play starts right from where it ended in the 7 th book; at King’s Cross station, adult Harry, Ron, and Hermione see offs their children for Hogwarts. Harry’s youngest son Albus develops a friendship with Draco’s son Scorpius and decides to go back through the time travel plot to save Cedric Diggory. But they call for some disastrous alternate realities with far reaching consequences.

Movie Review : Suicide Squad

Suicide Squad is a 2016 Superhero film based on the DC Comics. The film is directed and written by David Ayer, casting stars like Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jay Hernandez and others.

The story is that- as the outcome of Superman’s death, Amanda Waller’s secret government agency process a squad of anti-heroes to run a dangerous mission of saving the world from ‘metahuman’ and in exchange these villains will get a chance of living a clean life.

Critics in one side praised the film for its- action, special effects, sequences, dialogues, soundtracks, humor, and acting but on the other side criticized for its editing and rough plot.

Reviews:

Critics generally bagged a negative review for the film. It is ‘too many rogues spoiled the plot’; an all-scoundrel fighting against crime!

The film is not the savior of summer. It is not the great DC film that gets the authorization back on track after Zack Snyder-directed Superman movies. It is a narratively haphazard event which is filled with blunt action, a bent plot with no tension or suspense plus a constant flow of music that often gives the feel of a great Basketball scene. The only thing worth savoring are Smith, Davis, and Robbie, they make the event for their admittance in a better DC film down the line.

Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn is much praised but Jared Leto as Joker is abandoned in the fringe and wasted. Due to being funny, stylish and riotous plot, it’s different from Batman vs. Superman but the 2^nd half is prosaic and predictable.

Active Consulting Review: Jason Bourne

We all remember the satisfaction and excitement we had when Bourne finally had his memory back during his last mission. Even if you forget that, the opening scene in the movie quite deliberately reminds you of the same. But what happens when directly Paul Greengrass comes up with the fifth installment to finally let us know what happens next. What you could honestly appreciate was Matt Damon and his bare chest after the Martian.
The plot of the movie seems like Greengrass with his co-writer Christopher Rouse logged into WikiLeaks and picked up the most interesting story they could find, on the first page. In the fifth addition to the bourne series, Bourne needs to help his old friend Nicky who’s out to save the freedom of information. But like all standard Bourne movies, this one also has Bourne chasing the Asset only to reveal the darker scheme when it is convenient.This time, it is Robert Dewey (Tommy Lee Jones) who’s after Bourne.
One thing truly appreciable in the movie was the action scenes by Matt Damon. You might find the action sequences to be not so well edited and standard in nature but having Damon in them makes you like them more than they should be.

Thus, the director, the actors, and the whole movie have made an appreciable attempt to meet up the fans expectations. But to be honest, the seems like a bunch of action sequences tied up together like a Matt Damon action Montage and thus, lower your expectations before entering the screens.
